Under the sink pull-out drawers are becoming popular not only in the bathroom but also in the kitchen. My French Gray Island Kitchen was suppose to have one — somehow, the cabinetmaker didn’t get the memo. It would be an easy fix, and most base cabinets could be retrofitted to include a sink drawer.
The front of the drawer could be a faux panel fashioned with a template and a pair of drawer glides. This homeowner planned ahead, during the design stage. A gathered fabric skirt is used instead of formal door panels to soften the run of custom cream cabinets. As shown in the Robern Vanity Drawer video, a pull out drawer makes it easier to see what is stored and accessing everything becomes a cinch. Yes, Mr Shops’ honey-do list just got longer.
This kitchen offers another surprise. See its distressed wood barn-stall door with iron insert repurposed to conceal spice storage in Pantry Pride.
