Robern Vanity Drawers

June 7, 2012 by Jane F 4 Comments

No more bending! Lighted wall-hung vanity drawers customize bathroom sink storage.

One of my little decor secrets is that I truly loathe traditional bathroom vanities. I know, I know. It’s one of my quirks. It’s why we have pedestal sinks, a hook for the hairdryer and an antique storage cabinet in our master bath. We also have Robern medicine cabinets, which are the best because they are so practical and storage-minded.

Now Robern has changed the concept of bathroom vanities. And to my mind it’s for the better. This video shows how the vanity drawers work — with all the convenient features. There vanities come in several widths and depths with single or multiple drawers. There are a variety of colors and finishes from faux wood to sleek enamel. Electrical outlets inside the vanities eliminate the need for cords trailing past the sink. Some vanities have interior, layered drawers designed to hold small items.

But the very best feature may possibly be the built-in night lights, which look like thin bars. In the middle of the night, when you’re half asleep, it would be so much easier to look for something in one of these vanity drawers! New lighting technologies like these make me feel that the bathroom has finally moved into the 21st century. And the best way to see them is in action, via a video. So even though it is basically advertising, this video shows off all the features available for the drawers as well as how they look and function. I love, love, love this concept including the glass partitions, the electrical outlets and the niche for the ugly dryer, and even the integral sinks. Modern genius.

Like Cat Mom, I love them too. I was suppose to have a pull out drawer like this under my kitchen sink. But somehow, the cabinetmaker in England did not get the memo. 🙁 I was – and still am – very sad about that. Everything gets lost in the back!!
