Antique accessories and collectible tile complete this golden fantasy bath in an Italian villa.
Oh. My. Where do I start? This golden fantasy bath is visually stunning — a dream space. From the warm colors to the textures and antiques, it’s luxury all around with these golden hues. I fell in love instantly with this bath in an old country villa in Italy. The stucco walls are the color of straw and the antique tile wainscot has a traditional majolica design in the old-fashioned combination of gold and cobalt blue. I’ve always had a thing for clawfoot tubs and this is a lovely old one ornate ball and bird claw feet. The tub exterior has been refinished with a flat clay color which blends with the well-worn limestone floor. Draped over the side of the tub is a beautiful woven linen fringed towel with embroidery, a monogram and hand-knotted fringe. Then there’s the oversized round mirror with grapevine motif carvings on the frame. That’s a nod to the nearby wine region and it’s unique. Equally special is the exquisite antique shaving stand. The intricate cast iron base and triple glass panels off the opportunity to use a collector’s item every day.
Another luxurious space not to be missed is the Lavender Fantasy Bath.

Love how the mirror overlaps the tiles, it looks confident~
stunning room. Love the venetian plaster/stucco wall too!
Love the tub, but the whole room is just a bit too gilded, fancy for me.
I agree- I ADORE the overlapping of the mirror and tiles. It looks layered and casual. Tres Chic!
