Many leave their hearts in San Francisco, especially if they fall in lust with kitchen work tables available at March, a favorite Sacramento Street kitchen pantry and tabletop shop. March is a kitchen store that also offers design services. They create bespoke pieces starting with a client consultation to determine size and needs. Once the drawings and price quote are approved, production begins. Kitchen work tables take approximately twelve weeks to arrive.
The steel base has a gunmetal patina andfeatures a two-inch thick solid wood plank top. The bottom can remain open or be filled with options, including a weathered zinc bin (pierced for air circulation) and slatted bottom shelves. Also shown, hanging from the towel bar [top], is a small leather box to hold kitchen utensils or a favorite cookbook. The box has a flat bottom that allows it to also sit upright on the counter. A larger, three section leather saddlebag is also available. Other add-ons include finger-jointed wood boxes with hinged lids; also black ash baskets.
A smaller turned-leg table features a two-inch Carrara marble slab top with a honed finish. The Farrow & Ball-painted base features a pair of white oak shelves, (Source: MarchSF.com, sfgate.com)slatted for air flow and hand rubbed with oil as a finish. March also is the place to see pantry items, as well as table linens, dishes, glasses and cookware.
