Blue and green bedrooms are a colorful combination for the young and young at heart.
Decorating bedrooms with bold colors can be intimidating. Many start out with vibrantly colored bedding and accessories, then tone down the color scheme by painting the walls white. But not all the daring souls who created these blue and green bedrooms. A master bedroom [top] pulled rich peacock blue from the curtain fabric onto the walls. The room is an eclectic mix that works since the blue and green hues are sprinkled around the room. The chair was reupholstered in multiple fabrics for a bohemian look.
Re: painting the walls white… and falling flat. The fabulous silver-lined white lamp shades, modern bedside tables and bedding are lost against the wimpy white walls. Even the silk headboard, shag pillows and electric Hermes throw can’t elevate the space. All of these details would come to life against vibrant chartreuse walls!
Turquoise mixed with lime green, gray and a touch of peacock blue cheer things up in a tween to teen bedroom. The clean lines of the daybed and its tailored cover are brightened with the fabric selections and paper lanterns.
This bedroom decor can easily last from infancy through the toddler years. For those up to the challenge, decorating with vibrant blue and green hues will take a room from dreary to dreamy at any age.

oooh – I love photo number one! Those are my favorite colors. Very timely as I’m just about to make some changes in our room.
Thanks.
These colors are just super together and could not be fresher looking.
Trying decide between a lime/apple/acid green or a turquoise/peacock blue for a spare room. Now I can see that I don’t have to decide! We can have both colors (maybe add in some grey or black as well….love the rug in the nursery! Know the source??).
