Old world techniques are used to create modern blown glass light fixtures with timeless design.
With all the mass produced light fixtures on the market today, it’s nice to see a line that is not only functional but oh, so beautiful. While blown glass is the speciality of Studio Bel Vetro owners Lisa Spinella and Paulo DeLima, other techniques such as casting, fusing and cold fabrication are also used when creating larger pieces.
Spinella had a career as a professional ballet dancer before studying photography, then glass blowing. DeLima has been blowing glass for a decade and has trained in Venice, Italy. Working from their Brockton, MA studio, Spinella and DeLima handcraft chandeliers, pendants and sconces in their distinctive style.
A favorite everyone loves is the Bubble chandelier. Any size, any color – if you can image it, they can bring it to life.
