Graphic Closet Doors

These modern, colorific sliding closet doors wave goodbye to humdrum style.

Bold, brilliant and definitely not for the timid decorator, these sliding closet doors from Spain add a mural-like impact to any room. Colorful and graphic, the closet doors, made by Spazzi, rely on vivid blown up images that are especially applicable to high rise and new loft construction that often has generic or impersonal style. A trio of sliding panels, with color wheel cookie cut out images,  also maximizes the interior closet space by making every corner accessible. In a way, the doors are sliding screens that wall off the closet as a mini-room. They also serve as focal points.

Nature lovers might enjoy having oversize floral images dominate an entire wall. These are Elba Nature doors that pretty much eliminate the need for wall art in a room. Here, with metallic accessories and dark walls on each side of the closet doors, the daisy image reigns.

Rose petals can be the background for a feminine room where American beauty red is a dominant hue. Too bad the walls weren’t repainted and the generic chair switched out to something more in keeping with the romantic rose petal images. Anyone who loves advertising art will be quick to comprehend the underlying messages of these sliding closet doors.

Apartment dwellers can choose an interior cityscape Elba Neo sliders to match the view. With doors like these, it’s almost like moving closer to the skyscraper next door but without having anyone peep in. The sharp perspective of the image on this set of doors also adds a huge illusion of space in a room — akin to the adjacent window.
