Revision Home finds and reworks 20th century estate sale furniture and accessories.
Owner Katie Ernst finds vintage 1940’s to 70’s estate sale furniture and accessories at antique fairs and reinvests them with a little elbow grease. During her buying trips for her Chicago store, the former television news producer discovered this mid-century-modern lounger, which was updated with a coat of black lacquer on the frame and a large pattern Marimekko fabric.
The Chicago store hosts quarterly sales to the public and, in between sales, offers shopping online or by appointment.
Select accessories from the inventory offer a true retro vibe. This paisley bar set with drinking glasses and ice bucket are held in a ferris wheel caddy.
A black and white wooden tray has an interesting textured appearance — rediscovered, reinvented and repurposed for future generations.
