Blue porcelain enamel house plaques are common in EuropeA recent post on house numbers by Jane F sent me on a web search for interesting house plaques. A favorite is the porcelain enamel address sign. I love the crisp white text against the dark blue background. Its classic European style repeats vintage finds popular today.
In the tradition of exquisite Malibu Potteries, artisans take great care in applying various glazes to custom tiles. Only after kiln firing do the colors come to life in the border.
With origins from 13th century medieval stone carvings, this house plaque has deep sculptural relief of oak leaves and acorns. Like the others featured, it can be customized with house numbers, numbers with street name or house name.
This cast aluminum wall sculpture has a low relief design and can be ordered alone or with text casting(s). I have considered naming our home, but never seem to come up with “the one.” I’d love to hear if your home has a name and its signage.
