Color blocks of Waterworks mosaic tiles create high bathroom drama.
One of the more dramatic uses of Waterworks mosaic bath tile appears in this beautiful and distinctive bathroom in a renovated California “chateau.” California designer Jay Jeffers is credited with the overall design executed with tile from the iconic brand associated with high end bathrooms, especially in California. Jeffers used two colors — Sundance and Cloud White — to create double floor-to-ceiling tent-stripe tiled walls with Butternut mosaic tile blending in on the floor.
The tile was cleverly scaled so that one bold yellow stripe sits directly behind each sink bowl. The sink itself is also from Waterworks. It’s the double Metal Leg console with Dandy double marble top (56” w x 20” d, x 32” h.). And we’re betting on the faucets being from their Easton line, with white porcelain handles. Flower-petal mirrors from Pottery Barn sit over the sink along with a trio of delicate sconces to provide frontal lighting as well as the pretty reflections that all truly glamorous bathrooms require.
As bathrooms go, this one is rather simple. But it shows how the luxurious use of small-scale tile in graphic colors can have a very glamorous effect.
