A minimalist spa bath has a unique floating vanity with a transparent sink and counter.
Aesthetics of contemporary baths are often based on flat planes and floating elements. But this master bath, with its double floating vanity takes things one step further. What’s wonderful, unique and quite rare is the transparent plate-glass vanity top inset with a his and hers round glass sink. This showcases the vessel shape of the sink and the drains are neatly concealed int he wood section of the vanity on which each sinks rest.
The counter is also supported by the base of the vanity while the glass counter rests on steel posts. Modern faucets are wall mounted over a wall of pale glass mosaic tiles. A trio of mirrored medicine cabinets are back-lit so they also float on the wall, seemingly weightless.
Designer Susan Fredman also incorporated a stone floor into the slick modern mix. While maintenance may or may not be an issue, the look is spectacular. And, less it be criticized for being somewhat impractical, a steel towel rack is supplied all along the front. Additionally, the vanity has a pair of drawers on each end which are deep and wide enough to hold many of the necessary bathroom items.
