In a Carrara bathroom, white marble slabs and tiles are both the material and the message.
A white Carrara bathroom has become the classic. The famous marble from northern Italy has found its way into our home and hearts. And in this bathroom it’s on nearly every surface, including the floor, shower walls, tub deck and vanity top. The classic white Victorian-style cabinets and painted plank wainscot define post-Millenium bathroom style. And while the wainscot may feel a little cottage, marble dresses things up. The stone is used in several forms including subway way tiles on the shower walls, hexagonal tiles on the shower floor, large square tiles on the bathroom floor and ogee-edge slabs on the vanity and tub deck. Given the monochrome color scheme details such as crystal cabinet knobs, the high-arc sink faucet, and traditional English style tub filler with hand shower add additional elegant embellishments.
