The off center faucet may look odd but it’s in the right spot for this farm sink.
The faucet for this farm sink appears to be off center but it’s not. It’s simply set over the working, right hand bowl of a farm sink with an integral drain board. The drainboard occupies the left half of the sink so the faucet is centered on the right. This sink is also upmounted, meaning that the rim is not covered by the counter. It sits on the cabinet much like a bathroom vessel sink, with the entire rim exposed. That’s an unfitted kitchen look that adds a quirky quality to this English-style kitchen which has other unique features.
The storage cupboard (left) is a French antique. Wood counters on each side of the sink are stained to match. Painted wood planks suffice as back splash and white cabinets have painted wooden knobs and furniture bases consistent with English country-kitchen style — no toe-kicks here. On each side of the range, the counter top is intelligently inset with stainless steel as heat proofing. While I can’t ID the range, it’s a serious, six-burner pro style. The kitchen also was renovated with an adjacent entry to act as a mudroom — tile floors provide durability for both.
