Triple Skylight Kitchen

November 12, 2008 by Jane F Leave a Comment

triple skylight kitchen - Martha Stewart's former white Connecticut kitchen with 3 skylights - via AtticmagMartha Stewart’s former home kitchen has a skylight ceiling and classic white features.

The theme of windows with divided panes is carried through from glass doors on upper cabinets to a skylight ceiling in Martha Stewart’s former Connecticut home. With light streaming in through the ceiling, the all white surfaces gleam.

White marble is used for backsplashes, perimeter counters and on the island. Cabinets are also white painted with brass cup pulls used on the extra-wide custom drawers. An apron-front sink with bridge faucet is another typical white kitchen element.

The pro style range has its own zone with a practical stainless back guard and awning vent hood attached to the lower end of the sloping ceiling. The kitchen has lovely antique pine floors but appears to have been enlarged and modernized while the remainder of the house was furnished with antiques in a traditional style.
