A pink tinted bathroom skylight in the shower washes the user in rosy light.
While London is a beautiful historic city, it can also be quite dreary. More often than not, skylights are added when remodeling an easy way to introduce natural light, especially in a bathroom. The difference, here, is what two artistic souls decided during their remodel. Designer Harriet Anstruther shares a mid-19th century home with her husband, photographer Henry Bourne. The duo went “think pink” by installing a pink tinted bathroom skylight in the master shower. A narrow opening leads into a spacious bathing area drenched in color. A natural brass towel warmer and industrial sconces repeat the material found in the sink faucet and exposed shower set. The addition of traditional dado height paneling gives nod to the house’s origin and completes the very eclectic look of the light in the room.
