Geometric patterned rugs make rooms feel cozier
It happened this week. Instead of going barefoot around the house, I started wearing socks. That can only mean one thing — it’s time to shop for a few rugs. The lower level guest room is in desperate need of a floor covering. I’ve resisted buying one for the sunroom too, but during cooler weather a geometric patterned rug would visually warm the room and literally warm our toes. I ran across this vintage Swedish kilim on the Mansour website. The size and colors would work, but the price is higher than I’d like for room that’s only used now and then.
This emerald textile design from Vanderhurd, like all their rugs, are bespoke, which is English for custom and “well worth the wait.” The pattern is available in hand knotted cut wool pile or softer colorways in flat weave (my favorite).
