This time of year, the screened porch is another perfect dining spot.  A beautiful lace tablecloth is placed across an old iron table.  Place settings are a mixture of Fiestaware colors.  Vintage linens add softness, along with the pitcher of dark blue hydrangeas.   Don’t miss the comb-painted checkboard pattern floor.

A sunroom containing outdoor furniture features a round table covered in a striped tablecloth, which repeats the lines of the French garden chairs.  Cabbage leaf plates, matching napkins, whimsical napkin rings and beautiful flowers compliment the live greenery without overpowering.

The mixing of all things blue creates a charming atmosphere in this breakfast room.  Mismatched pieces of antique blueware rest on layered blue and white tablecloths.  Even the chairs surrounding the table are a mix of flea market finds.  Vintage tinware and blue spongeware adorn the wall, while a pink accent is brought to the table with the floral filled pitcher.

The extra time it takes to mix textures, patterns and colors creates personality in any setting and, not to mention, it’s more fun!
