This historic Italianate townhouse is dressed for any occasion with black kitchen cabinets — in its own version of the little black dress. Tailored cabinetry features beaded inset doors with white accents outlining the panels. A custom range hood also was painted pitch-black with white-accented panels to match. The raised panel molding reads like a string of pearls — so chic. Marble counters reverse the scheme since they are mainly white with dark gray veining. Together with an undermounted farmhouse sink offer ample space for prepping. Over-the-sink lighting is a white barn-style pendant.
The natural wood island with lower pot shelf introduces more surface area plus storage and warms up the color scheme with a natural wood finish. Open wall shelves are adorned with scrolled wrought iron brackets. A large mirror backsplash behind the range is an uncommon, but glamorous, choice. Each design element is striking on its own, but when interwoven, they created an au courant kitchen.
For another unique design, don’t miss the Black Lacquer Console Sink bath.
