A fashionable color scheme translates into an ultrachic kitchen design.
This historic Italianate townhouse is dressed for any occasion in its own version of the little black dress. Tailored cabinetry and a custom range hood were painted pitch-black. The raised panel molding is painted white for contrast – like a string of pearls. Marble counters and an undermount sink offer ample space for prepping, and are lit by a barn-style pendant. The natural wood island with lower pot shelf introduces more surface and storage. Open wall shelves are adorned with scrolled wrought iron brackets. A large mirror backsplash is an uncommon, but glamorous, choice for behind the range. Each design element is striking on its own, but when interwoven, they created an au courant kitchen.
For another unique design, don’t miss the Black Lacquer Console Sink bath.
