Express individuality while creating a holiday tradition.
I ran across an interactive website that allows you to design Christmas stockings. 1154 LILL Studio has three stocking designs and over a hundred fabrics, so expect to spend some time playing with colors and patterns. If you need help selecting a coordinating fabric, suggestions of complimentary fabrics are listed. The stockings are reversible for twice the fun. I selected a medium lightweight velvet fabric, Turquoise Trellis, for the exterior of the Holly stocking [above] and a lightweight printed floral, Mint Julep, interior. The Noel stocking [below] has a woven fabric with raised rings, O-rangutan, exterior and a medium basket weave, Carrot Cake, interior that created a textured tone-on-tone.

What beautiful fabrics! Every time I see a beautifully designed Christmas mantel with coordinating stockings, I sigh at how pretty it is. I think there would be a mutiny in our house if I replaced the boys’ stockings. They’re those handsewn colorful felt ones, but in a ridiculously ginormous size. Someday, I can send the huge ones to their homes, and I can have a row of perfectly coordinated stockings. Thanks for sharing.
These are beautiful. My Grandmother makes decorated felt stockings for everyone in the family. This can really become a neat tradition, but like laxsupermom says, sometimes a change would be nice. Maybe make some and hang them up in a different part of the house?
