Dishaholics unite!  Go ahead and admit it – this stack of bowls makes your heart beat faster.  Handcrafted porcelain dinner sets and serving pieces by Mud Australia feature color that is tinted throughout the limoge clay.  It provides a depth of color not available from surface glazing.  A clear finishing glaze leaves a smooth stone-like surface that is oven, microwave and dishwasher safe.

Ok, you definitely had me hooked with the stack of colorful and adorable bowls, I’ll admit it. –But Plllog told me not to look on my ‘condition’ negatively, and instead refer to myself as a “Vesselarian.” :-)

I’m going to have to get some Mud my next visit to Sydney – it has been haunting me! This despite living only a few miles from Heath Ceramics in Sausalito, beautiful, but Mud has stolen my heart.

Oh those Mud dishes are utterly utterly gorgeous! I’ve had a couple or so bowls and a vase from them for several years now. The incredible mattness of the bowl (on the exterior) makes the ceramic utterly delicious, and it contrasts wonderfully with the glazed interiors. So practical but so delicate to look at coz the items are thin. It’s like holding a beautifully painted egg-shell.

The difficulty with purchasing Mud’s items is in making a selection in my opinion. Every colour looks so spectacular and goes so well with every other – it almost seems that the right thing to do is to pick an assortment of colours (but I don’t know if I could live with myself if I did such things ;-) ).

Great subject Allison. I really really heart the Mud stuff.
