Referred to as a glass box, the room sparkles as sunlight enters through walls of windows
11 Bonita is a magical home where no detail was overlooked and every turn takes your breath away. The rear entrance from the driveway is no exception. One of the owners, who is also a designer, requested a large china closet for his collection of dishes and glassware. Instead, architect Louis Nequette, delivered a jewel – a china room.
In the daytime, the best views are from inside, and at night the room glows when viewed from the courtyard. The area also serves as a passage way to the downstairs media room and wine cellar; note the wrought iron railing at the staircase, top photo and below.
The custom terra cotta tiles used for the Lacanche range kitchen backsplash are repeated on the floor here and in the foyer; a detail that unifies the spaces.
The homeowner has used the chic black crystal at parties for years and is pleased it is now openly displayed. The home is truly the crown jewel of the neighborhood.
