Interior designer Julie Thigpen recently launched her online design boutique, Modern Chic Home.  We AtticMag gals have always been fans of Julie’s blog, Belle Maison (link in our blog roll, bottom right) , so I thought it would be fun for each of us to pick home decor favorites from the boutique.  The Paris Salon mirror set was selected by Editor JaneF. The convex mirrors are framed in metal with a gorgeous gold leaf finish that will brighten any location.

A best seller, these petite pedestals are a favorite of rug guru JaneT, who sees them as versatile tabletop accessories. For a brunch, she suggests using one at each place setting to hold a muffin or during the holidays, use them as pillar candleholders. But her best idea, in my opinion; “Of course as you know, with my addiction to m&m candies….well, forget the cupcake, just put the wrapper full of my sweet treats atop one of those cuties.”

The gold crown hooks, another favorite of JaneF, are also my top pick. I gave several crowns to my oldest daughter, who uses them to organize jewelry and scarves in her closet and by the front door for hanging jackets and handbags.  They would also be useful in the kitchen and bathroom holding towels.
