We are pleased to offer a 100% wool, hand-knotted rug made in India by Couristan.
Our very own rug appassionata, JaneT, selected this from the many choices generously made available by the giveaway sponsor csn rugs. Jane feels that the colors and style is so basic this sweet 2.6 x 4.2 area rug (a $100 value) could enhance almost any décor. We also are hooked on hand-knotted rugs made of a durable, natural fiber.
To be eligible, just comment [below] on this post between Fri. June 19 and 6 p.m. EST Wed. June 24.
Comments must include your screen name and a working email address in the U.S. or Canada. (You cannot comment anonymously, duh). Tell your friends!
The winner will be randomly selected in a drawing that takes place Wed. evening and announced on Thurs. June 25. Good luck!

Terry, wish I could give you extra points for humor
very funny! I tried to leave a comment on your blog but blogger doesn’t always cooperate with non-blogger blog urls. But I am following you now on Twitter.
And to everyone else on Julia’s list that doesn’t receive a comment from me, please know it’s not that I didn’t try. Some of my most witty comments disappeared into cyberspace thanks to uncooperative comment boxes.
Good luck to everyone on the Giveaway & glad you like the rug!!

June 19th, 2009 at 8:17 am
Count me out of the contest, I don’t actually WANT the rug (beautiful, but it’s a coals-to-Newcastle-thing); I simply wanted to commend AtticMag for the fun promotion, and JaneT for the beautiful choice. Can you modify the post so that we can see a larger image of the carpet if we click on it? Would love to see more detail.

I’ve been internet rug-hunting for weeks–if not months–trying to find a nice, light, natural fibre rug. We’re transforming my office into a baby’s room. This one brings out the colour of the walls (green), yet isn’t too overpowering. Crossing my fingers!

I don’t want to sound crude here, but we are looking for a nice rug to go into our yard tent (it’s a brick patio the tent sits on, 10′ x 12′, fully furnished), and to be truthful, the colour matches the tent colour very nice. The tent is a dark sand colour, and the wife is decorating the inside this year with bright lime-green curtains and same colour throw pillows.
Me, I like the more subdued colours, so this rug fits my choice very nicely!
Uh, I live in Canada, so IF I do win it, I’ll send you my FedEx account number as our summers are kinda short and I would like to enjoy the rug before I have to take the tent down prior to our annual August Snowfall.
Really, no kidding! It happens every now and then. Very first year we moved here, August 21st, 1997, 6″ of snow, 0 degrees C as highs for 3 days. As we were moving, all our winter clothes are still in the moving truck somewhere in Central Canada…We froze our..uh, well, it was reeeeeel cold, eh?

Edwin, you make a charming case for worthiness and those of us down here who have sea breezes certainly would like to see our friends north of us enjoy maximum comfort during your brief warm season (though we have yet to see a warm season this year). However, I want to assure everyone that the winner of the rug will be chosen randomly, impartially and transparently! All will be revealed on Thursday!
