Penthouse View of the Bay Part II
By Jane T ~ April 29th, 2009. Filed under: Designer Rooms, House Tours.
We continue with my tour of the 2009 San Francisco Decorator Showcase. Part I can be found here.

Matthew Leverone wanted the Family Room [above] and Breakfast Room [below] to be a gathering spot for the family to relax and enjoy informal meals. He kept the palette in hues of straw and wheat. The breakfast room’s classic Saarinen table sits on top of a custom rug from Tai Ping Carpets.

Jennifer Weiss redesigned the kitchen [above] eliminating several small rooms resulting in a spacious, modern and open style. Zinc countertops and hood, Heath tiles on the backsplash. Pendant [bottom right] by Aqua Creations.

Just off the kitchen is a private deck that Kate Michaels transformed into a Breakfast Terrace complete with edible plants and herbs.

Master Bedroom [above] by Cecilie Starin has a custom canopy bed and a palette of ecrus, taupes, black and white. The vintage 1950 lamps were so incredibly beautiful that I couldn’t resist capturing a close up shot [below].

The Master Bath [below] designed by Lindsay Brier of Anyon Interior Design was remodeled to include a double vanity sink with a fossilized limestone countertop. Two Queen Anne style antique mirrors designed by the legendary Dorothy Draper in 1928 are installed over the build in beveled mirror.
