Design Your Own Lamps and Pillows

Jane T. recently sent me two fun websites. The contemporary Big Man on Campus lamps (above, $159 each) are part of Built By Lamp at Inhabit. The website boasts 1,607,045 possibilities! If you do not have the time or patience to learn their design program, you can shop their selection of house designs.
My favorite of the design your own pair is Alluminare. They have a larger selection of materials, shapes and colors and their program is very easy. I designed the Render pendants (above, $336 each) in no time at all. The website saves your last 100 clicks for easy reference. Once you create a pattern you may be interested in purchasing, you can tag them to save. Not only can you create your own pendant lights but also shades, pillows (below, Suzani, $88 each), wallpaper and fabric. Be prepared to play a few hours!

I love what you did with my Suzani pattern! When I designed it, I could only see it with a purple ground. I love the white! Isn’t that site fun? I like the fact that, even though you sign away the rights to the pattern, they’ll print up as much yardage as you need. And the wallpaper is great, too. I don’t know anywhere else where I can get both.

Hi and thanks for posting! The Suzani pattern is great. As soon as I saw it, I knew it was going in my post! I’ll have to play with it again and do a purple background. Their design program is so easy to use, it is fun. I agree, no minimum yardage is great. Thanks again for visiting Attic Mag.
